The Last of the Sun

RICHARD ALMASI A very unique style of music that feels both spacey and homey, far-reaching yet comforting. The use of trombone brings a sense of familiarity to a theme that is quite abstract or distant. Favorite track: Mountains Melted into a Molten Sea.

about

This album continues along the lines of my last few albums--mostly live-looped trombone. I'm constantly revising my looping setup and coming up with new kinds of sounds to generate from the initial trombone sound source. Eventually, though, I'll probably run out of ideas and avenues to explore. However, until that time, it's been exciting to make unique contributions to the ambient music community.
